Aloe Vera: Making Your Own Aloe Vera Lotion

Maybe you’ve applied aloe vera to your son’s face after he got severely burned while playing outside during a Super Mario party or a pool party. If so, you know that it heals skin miraculously overnight. Some people even swear by drinking this miracle plant, as described in the previous article, Top 10 Reasons Behind Drinking Aloe Vera Gel

While aloe vera is the “go-to” for burns, it also can help a number of other skin ailments, like eczema, infections, age spots, acne, rosacea, blisters, insect bites, and other irritations. Because aloe vera plumps up the skin, it can also greatly reduce wrinkles! Why not use our stabilized aloe vera gel to make your own lotion? Here are some ways that you can personalize our aloe vera and make it your very own, unique concoction to cure all of your skin ailments.

Aloe Vera Body Butter

This thicker lotion is perfect for before bedtime, allowing your skin to stay plump and soft all through the night. To make body butter from home, just melt 3/4 cup of cocoa butter, 3/4 cup of shea butter, 3 tbs of almond oil, and 2 tbs of vitamin e in a double boiler. When completely mixed and melted, take off of the burner and mix with 3/4 cup of aloe vera gel. Beat them together with a hand-held mixer until creamy, thick, and completely whipped.

The great thing about making lotion at home is that you can add your favorite scents and personalize your skincare by experimenting with vanilla, sandalwood, lavender, coconut oil, or almond oil. You can even make special lotions for your friends and gift them for Christmas or birthdays.

All you have to do is order some aloe vera, and enjoy. Forever Living provides you with the perfect base for your new favorite lotion.
