Drugs:
To treat or prevent diseases drugs are used to be as substances. They are also used to get rid of pains, to control over mental or physical ailments, and even to diagnose the illnesses.
Drugs comprise-
- A medicine for the inner or outer use of human beings or animals
- Any substances which are intended to be used for or in the diagnosis, mitigation, cure, prevention or treatment of diseases in human beings or animals;
- Any article, other than food, intended to have an effect on or influence in any way the formation or any organic role of the body of human beings or animals;
- Any article which are intended for use as an element of any medicine, substance.
In order to sell a product as a prescription drug or medicine, you are needed to have a drug license which is only can be issued if you got a practicing pharmacist working for your organization (Rule 61 of The Drugs & Cosmetics Rules, 1945)
The dealer or seller must have a designated space of minimum 150 sq ft room, permitted by the FDA for sale and stocking of the products among other compliance. (Rule 64 & 65 of The Drugs & Cosmetics Rules, 1945)
